The final of this season's Berlin Fashion Week was the show by Marina Hoermanseder. The meanwhile internationally renowned designer always manages to arrange for a special setting for her show and to have a high density of German celebrities in the front row.

This time the show was almost hidden in Berlin’s largest kart venue. Once we found the place we were expected by a place that - typically for the Austrian born designer - was set up as real venue with drinks, popcorn and many meets & greets even before the show.
Placed within a sitcom setting that refers to “Married with children” the new Autumn / Winter 19 collection is clearly stating “Hello 90’s!” A mix of bright and shouting colours, leopard prints, miniskirts and flared pants is made for high spirits. Western elements interestingly break with this mix of colours and add an interesting touch to the designs.
As various as the colour range is Hoermanseder’s mix of fabrics and materials. Voluminous and fluffy teddy like furs meet leather corsets, leather strap skirts, relaxed sweaters and shiny stirrup pants. Again, Marina Hoermanseder has created a collection that is worth discovering and that is fun and wearable at the same time. It’s playful, exaggerated and elegant. In addition, the designer manages to further strengthen her unique design language by incorporating her signature orthopaedic like elements and strap pieces into the collection with natural ease. Well done and we look forward to seeing the collection on the street.
